Unlocking Potential with EDClass
Discover how EDClass, a trusted DfE-accredited provider of online education and the ‘Supplier of the Year 2025’ helped support Chosen Hill School with their learners.
A Seamless Bridge for Attendance, Engagement, and Closing Gaps
Chosen Hill School, a mixed comprehensive in Gloucestershire, was tackling significant issues with attendance and ensuring maximum engagement and progress for all students, particularly those who couldn’t cope with the mainstream classroom environment. They found EDClass to be an essential tool that provided a highly intuitive system to support students both within its pastoral hub and off-site.
Promoting Attendance and Engagement: EDClass acts as a seamless blended learning tool, fitting the bill for both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 alternative provision settings. It is used to promote good attendance by offering a clear pathway: students can access online learning at home or off-site, then transition into smaller, quieter parts of the school, and finally move into mainstream lessons.
Closing Learning Gaps: Recognising the need to “close the gaps” caused by absence, Chosen Hill uses EDClass to ensure students don’t miss any learning, even when working on part-time timetables at home. This is especially vital for students with SEN and those requiring flexible attendance arrangements.
Unwavering Confidence in Safeguarding and Support: The school’s decision was heavily influenced by the DfE accreditation and the nature of EDClass’s safeguarding. This collaborative approach gives Chosen Hill the confidence that their students are receiving the best support and making maximum progress.
